Metical remains stable against Euro and US dollar

The Mozambican currency unit registered only marginal changes in the last week, remaining stable against the Euro and the US dollar, according to daily exchange rates released by the central bank and followed by Lusa.

Over the last week, the Euro was bought in the country at an average price of 68.94 meticais, while the sale was made at 70.31 meticais on average, maintaining the Mozambican currency within the range it has traded at over the last 90 days.

The US dollar – the currency used in Mozambique as the basis for calculating the reference exchange rates of all other currencies – was bought last week at 60.76 meticais on average, while the sale was made at 61.96 meticais.
