The police in Mozambique said on Tuesday they had set up a special team to look into the seven bodies that were discovered in the woods near Nampula in the north of the country.
The police said it was still too early to provide any idea about what had actually happened to the victims (five men and two women) and the team would have to take its time.
People living nearby told reporters from the O País newspaper that they had heard vehicles driving around last Thursday night near where the bodies were discovered.
Locals said the bodies had been dumped with no signs of violence and nobody recognised them so they assumed they were from other parts of the country.
