Mugabe son allegedly pressurising Engels to drop case against mom

– One of the sons of former Zimbabwe president Robert Mugabe has allegedly been putting pressure on model Gabriela Engels to drop charges against former first lady Grace Mugabe.
AfriForum’s CEO Kallie Kriel told journalists the organisation had received a complaint from Engels.
Grace Mugabe allegedly assaulted the Johannesburg based model at a Sandton hotel in August last year.
Engels had been a guest of her sons Robert junior and Chatunga.
Mugabe later claimed she’d acted in self-defence.
But she was allowed to leave the country without being prosecuted after being offered diplomatic immunity.
In July this year the Afriforum and the DA successfully challenged the matter in court.
The court ruled that government’s decision to grant Mugabe diplomatic immunity had been unconstitutional.
