The preliminary election results in Tete city have just been announced, Jornal Malacha reports.
The results indicate that César de Carvalho, head of list of Frelimo, is back at the helm of the municipality, adds the same source.
Here are the preliminary results:
Frelimo: 41 445 votes, 54.48 %
Renamo: 32 749 votes, 43.02 %
MDM: 1 895 votes, 2.49 %
Null votes: 1 567
Blank votes: 1962
Registered voters: 133 351
Abstention: 55 955
Dispatch: Aparicio do Nascimento (Tete)
