Photographic Exhibition: “Vagando Maputo” by Aurore Vinot
It was in 2017 that I decided to make my first long documentary, collecting the voices, stories and portraits of the intense Mozambican cultural life, thanks to "Vagando Maputo".
This film narrative is a tribute to the current creative forces of the country. It is also a way to better understand the history of this nation where art and creativity were a key factor in the construction of its identity after Portuguese independence in 1975.
Plunging into the artistic boom of the capital, I tried to represent these specificities and these leading figures, despite the confrontations and difficulties. This wandering in Maputo allows you to discover your impulses, your stigmas but also these unique creative energies.
