A man has been accused of disloyalty by the congregation of a mosque in Nampula after selling without warning the space where local Muslims had for years performed their religious devotions.
Angry and frustrated believers watched powerless as the building they had used for daily prayers was demolished by the lot’s new owner.
Those affected sought an explanation from the man who sold the property, the son of the late owner of the building in question, but he was said to have “simply evaporated” s soon as he had the money from the sale in his hands.
