The Mozambique Ports and Railways in the south of the country (CFM-Sul) is from August 13 to introduce 2nd class carriages on Matola Gare’s morning and evening trains, with a single tariff of 23 meticais.
According to a CFM statement cited in Folha e Maputo, the second class carriage is being introduced as part of efforts for the continuous improvement of passenger transport services.
CFM-South says that boarding the new carriages will be limited to Maputo, Infulene, Machava and Matola Gare stations.
CFM-South does not in its communique explain in what way the new carriage differs from the others.
