Mozambican President Filipe Nyusi has appointed Amadeu Paulo Samuel da Conceição to the position of permanent representative to the United Nations in Geneva and ambassador to the Swiss Confederation, the government said on Tuesday. In a statement, the government said da Conceição is replacing Pedro Comissário Afonso.
Da Conceição was previously ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary to Federal Republic of Germany, to The Holy See, to Austria, Hungary and the Czech Republic.
The statement did not say who da Conceição’s replacement will be in the three country.
Nyusi also appointed Mónica Patrício Clemente Mussa to the post of high commissioner to Rwanda.
