Metical steady vs Euro and US dollar

The Mozambican currency registered a stable week against the Euro and the US dollar, according to the central bank’s daily average exchange rates, followed by Lusa.
The Euro was bought in the country at an average 68.56 meticais and the sell was made at 69.92 meticais per Euro, that is, with changes of one cent (more expensive) against the previous week.
In relation to the US dollar, the weekly average of the Mozambican currency also remained almost unchanged.
The US dollar is the currency used as the base currency for calculating exchange rates for the other currencies in Mozambique.
During the last week, the US dollar was bought in the country at 58.56 meticais and the sell was made at 59.72 meticais per US dollar, 18 cents less than in the previous week, in both cases.
