Mozambique: ENI Open Day
“The Black Party”
The play "A Festa de Preto" (The Black Party) is about various social problems, such as racism in its different forms, prejudices and a continuous devaluation of art and culture. It is based on traditional beliefs.
The play tells the story of 6 orphaned brothers, who are surrounded by problems that are exacerbated by social evils such as unconventional racism, that is, from blacks to blacks, economic crisis, among others.
The brothers find themselves in a dilemma: will their problems be the result of their own dynamics and social difficulties or failure to comply with traditional measures, such as the mass of their father in this case? Is a mass going to help them solve their problems or not?
