Government initiates unannounced inspection in the civil service

In order to reduce cases of corruption and improve public service performance, the Government will start to conduct unannounced inspections at provincial level this year.
The information was made public during the 4th meeting of the General Inspectorate of Public Administration, which is aimed at enabling the provinces to start the inspection.
Unannounced inspections were introduced this year in Maputo Province, and eight central-level institutions have already been inspected.
In addition to provincial inspectors, the General Inspectorate of Public Administration has trained internal control officers at focal points in the districts of the Province of Cabo Delgado.
