A meeting of the Joint Commission for Technical, Economic and Trade Activities between the Republic of Mozambique and the People’s Republic of China takes place in Maputo today.
The event will be led by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Maria Manuela Lucas, and Deputy Minister of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China, Qian Keming.
The meeting will provide an opportunity for the two governments to review progress in bilateral cooperation since the last joint session, held in Maputo in June 2015, and outline future cooperation for the 2018 to 2021 three-year period.
This session will also see the two parties signing five cooperation instruments, including an Exchange of Notes for Phase Three of the Technical Assistance Project for the Agriculture Sector and the Exchange of Notes for the Second Phase of Technical Assistance to the National Stadium of Zimpeto.
