Inauguration of the exhibition: Shadow of dreams
Imane Idrissi was born in the Moroccan town of Casa Blanca. At the age of eight, she was already helping her father (Nordine Kamal Idrissi), a painter trained at Bela Artes, to prepare the canvases. At 21, she was a teacher in the interior of Morocco. Imane attended the course of Editing and Direction of Video and Elaboration of Script, in Casa Blanca and in Marseilles (France). She was an Assistant Director on several television series and reality shows, and later served as a flight attendant at the Emirates airline company.
The artist lives in Maputo, where she has made several institutional documentaries, including her most recent video on water supply in rural communities in the country.
Her first art show was at the age of 20, in a collective exhibition with the participation of her father and other Moroccan painters.
In 2016, she held her first solo exhibition in Mozambique entitled "Mulher" (Women). The second exhibition was in 2017, titled "Art Shake", both exhibited in the Núcleo d'Arte gallery.
Imane Idrissi is part of the Mozambican Association of Artists and the Mozambican Association of Filmmakers (AMOCINE), and has works exhibited in several galleries in South Africa and Mozambique.
Mi Sook Park is a South Korean plastic artist who resides in Mozambique for more than 9 years.
The art exhibition will be available until Saturday, June 30 2018.
