Mozambique and Angola eager for business partnerships

The Confederation of Economic Associations of Mozambique (CTA) and the Council of Business Associations of Angola today committed themselves to promoting partnerships in agriculture, forestry, tourism and infrastructure between business-people from the two countries.
CTA Vice President Castigo Nhamane said in a meeting with his Angolan counterpart that the two countries had enormous potential and excellent prospects for business partnerships.
“We expect to exchange experiences and share information so that we have more interaction in the business environment in both countries,” Nhamane said.
The Angola and Mozambique private sectors could cooperate in areas such as agriculture, infrastructure, tourism and forests, generating more income for the population of both countries.
The president of the Council of Business Associations of Angola, João Gomes, said Angola and Mozambique should take advantage of historical ties to boost business and economic cooperation.
“This is an opportunity that the Mozambique CTA is giving us to exchange experiences and find synergies to improve the business environment between Angola and Mozambique,” he said.
The meeting between the CTA and the Council of Business Associations of Angola came about within the context of the 1st Economic Conference of the Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries (CPLP) Market, which takes place on Wednesday and Thursday in Maputo.
