Pastor forces teen-age daughter to marry 45-year-old-man in Beira – Mozambique

A 75-year-old pastor who is ‘married’ to eight women and has fathered 48 children recently forced one of his daughters, who is only 15 years old, to marry a 45-year-old man in Beira.
After the marriage, the girl was consequently raped, or as the report puts it, “forced by her so-called husband, who by the way was already married, to have sexual relations”.
According to the newspaper O País, “tired of this ill-treatment, the victim fled the home and reported the matter to the authorities”.
The girl’s parents confirmed that they knew of the marriage, and that they had already received some assets from the alleged son-in-law to legalise the relationship, except that it did not go as planned.
Police are currently pursuing the husband, while the girl’s parents remain in police custody.
