Mozambican President Filipe Nyusi yesterday named former Aires Ali ambassador to China, replacing Antonio Inácio Júnior, a statement from the office of the presidency reads.
Aires Ali was prime minister of Mozambique between 2010 and 2012, having previously been minister of Education and Governor, first of Niassa province in the north of the country, and then in Inhambane province in the south.
China is an important partner of Mozambique, and cooperates closely in various fields, especially the economy and business. The Mozambican president paid an official visit to China between 16 and 21 of the last month.
