Mozambique: Mozal delivers on recovery plan, on track to meet production guidance
O País / Director-General of Mozambican Customs, Ali Mala
A push to get all foreign vehicles fitted with Mozambican registration plates starts on November 1 and will run to 31 January next year.
According to Mozambique customs, the people who regularise their situation in that period will have several facilities, although what precisely remains unspecified.
Cars with foreign number plates are only supposed to drive on Mozambique’s roads for a maximum of thirty days.
Speaking at a press conference in Maputo, the Director General of Customs, Ali Mala, was unable to give the number of foreign vehicles that have exceeded the time limit, or the number of those already regularised.
