Mozambique: GCCC starts proceedings in 1,175 cases of corruption
Higino Francisco de Marrule is the coordinator of the second Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) programme in Mozambique. He served as Minister of Agriculture and Food Security of Mozambique from December 2017 to January 2020. Previously, Marrule was the Mozambique representative of VUNA, a regional program funded by DFID and administered by Adam Smith International.
Higino de Marrule has been at the forefront of planning and promotion of agricultural development in Mozambique for several years as a senior policy analyst for the MINAG/USAID/Michigan State University Food Security project and as coordinator and head of the Policy Analysis Department of the Ministry of Agriculture.
While in the Ministry of Agriculture (MINAG), Higino de Marrule led the technical group for the Agricultural Development Strategy project from October 2005 to February 2006. He was also a member of the central MINAG group for the design of the National Agricultural Programme Phase II (ProAgri II). As a member of the TechnoServe team in Mozambique, he recently worked as manager of the poultry programme.
