Mozambique: Revision of police laws postponed to the next legislature
Beatriz da Consolação Mateus Buchili is a General attorney of the Republic of Mozambique, since 2014.
She has a master’s degree in law from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, she finished her master degree in 2007, a law degree from Universidade Eduardo Mondlane, in 1999, a career magistrate, having joined the Public Prosecution Service in 1994, as a District Attorney. She served as the provincial Chief Prosecutor of Cabo Delgado (2001-2005), and Sofala Provincial Chief Prosecutor (2008 to 2011). In 2011, the Deputy Attorney General was promoted to the Superior Court of Appeal of the City of Maputo, and still in 2011 she was appointed to serve as Secretary General of the PGR on a service commission.
Beatriz Buchili is the sixth PGR in the history of Mozambique after Joaquim Mulembwè, Sinai Nhatitima, António Namburete and Joaquim Madeira and Augusto Paulino.
