One of the continent’s biggest music festivals, Bushfire, is taking place this weekend in eSwatini (Swaziland) and beyond the music, the food and drinks on offer at the festival is always exciting.
The Bushfire Global Food Village is a celebration of food culture, presenting a diversity of culture-inspired gourmet street food by the most seasoned of vendors from all over Southern Africa. Fire starters are invited on a journey of the senses with mouthwatering tastes in different pockets of the festival.
After months of carefully curating the best food vendors from across Southern Africa, this year, The Barn stage, along with its warm ambience and exciting line up will host towering gourmet burgers, nifty finger snacks and a German-style chicken rotisserie; paired with a customized bar serving specially crafted beers and cocktails.
Festival goers will be pleased to discover the mini food court inside The Design Marketplace with a neat assortment of vendors serving fiery chilli wraps, Ethiopian cuisine, fresh fruit, gourmet desserts and a variety of confections to savour on the Secret Circle lawn.
The Global Food Village has consistently catered to numerous diets and to those seeking a new kind of fuel for their bellies. Every dietary requirement will be catered for. From vegans and vegetarians, to pescatarians and meat lovers, everyone will find what they seek.
Food at the village includes the ever-so popular American Corndogs and traditional eSwatini food, to Gujon chicken, smoked meats, kasi style bunny chows, Chinese and Mozambican cuisine.
New additions this year include a couple for the bucket list: fried ice cream and French beignets.
