The National Institute of Meteorology (INAM) predicts for today afternoon and until tomorrow the occurrence of low temperatures and weak to moderate rains, accompanied by strong winds in the coastal strip of the districts of the provinces of Maputo and Gaza.
According to the meteorologist, Acácio Tembe, the change of weather will cause the maximum temperature to drop to 21 and 22 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperatures could reach 13 and 14 degrees.
Tembe told Notícias that the weekend will be influenced by low temperatures, with rains and strong winds with speed that will reach 60 kilometres per hour, reducing further to the interior of the country.
According to the meteorologist, bad weather may also hit some districts in the southern province of Inhambane.
In view of this situation, INAM calls on bathers to take precautionary measures, as well as operators of small vessels not to go to sea.
