Watch: Fewer fireworks accidents this year – Maputo Central Hospital

Citizens seem to be becoming more aware of the risks involved in setting off fireworks, with Maputo Central Hospital registering a considerable reduction in the number of injuries in comparison with the previous year: four people injured in 2016/2017 against the 9 cases registered in 2015/2016.
In total, 299 patients were admitted for various reasons, with injuries peaking on the night of January 1 to January 2.
