Quelimane: Interior minister calls on Muslims to pray for peace and stability in Cabo Delgado

On the occasion of Eid Al Adhá today, Interior Minister Basilio Monteiro has asked Muslims in Quelimane to pray for peace and an end to instability in Cabo Delgado province.
Eid Al Adha marks the end of the pilgrimage to Mecca, culminating in the sacrifice of a four-footed animal.
Inus Ismael, a representative of the Muslim community in Zambezia, said that the occasion should serve to reflect on the adversities undermining the country’s development.
More than 1,000 Muslims participated in celebrations at the central mosque in Quelimane.
