The President of the Republic, Filipe Nyusi, began a two-day visit to the province of Cabo Delgado on Friday.
The head of state will visit the districts of Meluco, Metuge and Pemba, where he has scheduled meetings with local governments, rallies, visits to enterprises of economic and social interest and interaction with different segments of society.
Residents of the city of Pemba are expecting to hear from the head of state about peace and the socio-economic development of the province.
President Nyusi is accompanied on the trip by the Ministers of State Administration and Public Administration Carmelita Namashulua; of National Defense Atanasio Mtumuke; Mineral Resources and Energy Max Tonela; of the Sea, Inland Waters and Fisheries Agostinho Mondlane; by the Commander General of the Police Bernardino Rafael; and by the Governor of Nampula province Victor Borges.
