MozParks opens new office in Maputo: Advancing sustainable industrial development in Mozambique
Lusa
A new shopping centre was officially opened yesterday on Maputo’s Avenida Marginal, a private investment by equity fund Actis valued at US$96 million, the institution announced.
The Baía Mall opens to the public today, but with only some of the shops in operation. Phased opening of new services over the coming months is foreseen, the same source says.
The shopping centre is presented by the promoters as capable of hosting 100 shops and restaurants, with spaces still available. It is flanked by a hotel, and could create up to 2000 direct and indirect jobs.
Capital Land, a company which provides services elsewhere in southern Africa, will be responsible for the management of Baía Mall.
