According to Langa, these results were facilitated by inspection activities carried out before the festive season, such as “the inspection, in November 2022, of 600 commercial hospitality and tourism establishments to assess their degree of preparation for [the] holiday season”.
“At the beginning of November, 2022,” Langa added, “the National Directorate of Tourism monitored the health protocol measures of Ccovid-19, verified the occupancy rate and promoted awareness of good service practice, in addition to pu8blicising the recently launched electronic visa platform.”
On the basis of preliminary data, Langa declared a positive balance to the sector over the festive season.
