With a view to offering greater convenience to travellers, the Mozambique-South Africa border post at Ressano Garcia is to stay open 24 hours a day following the signing of legal instruments on the matter, in an act witnessed by the interior ministers of the two countries.
The development was originally expected to be introduced in April, but was postponed because of technical issues.
Previously, the Ressano Garcia border crossing was open 18 hours a day, and all day only during the festive season.
