President of the Republic Filipe Nyusi today opens the Lichinga-Muita section of the Lichinga- Cuamba road in Ngaúma district.
The ceremony takes place during a two-day working visit to Niassa province starting this Friday.
While in Niassa, the president will address the opening ceremony of Niassa’s Provincial Directorate of Education and Human Development in Lichinga district and inaugurate a delivery of 40,000 school desks.
On Saturday, President Nyusi will travel to the village of Metangula, Lago District, to reopen the Messumba church, followed by a Mass.
President Nyusi is accompanied on his visit to Niassa by the Ministers of Education and Human Development, Conceita Sortane; Public Works, Housing and Water Resources, Joao Osvaldo Machatine; Justice, Constitutional and Religious Affairs, Joaquim Verissimo; Deputy Minister of Education and Human Development; Armindo Ngunga, Ambassador of Japan to Mozambique, Toshio Ikeda; and members of staff of the Presidency of the Republic and other state institutions.
