Gaza province will be exporting citrus fruits produced in the district of Massingir to countries in Asia and Europe from the year 2024.
To this end, Massingir Citros Limitada, a foreign capital firm [Verdant Frontiers], has just invested in a citrus and vegetable production project to supply local, national and foreign markets.
The move was announced by project coordinator Issufo Malendza.
“The main crop on our farm is citrus, which we produce for export to markets in China, Vietnam, Indonesia and Germany. At the moment, our focus is oranges and lemons. We are planning to start with another variety, but are still waiting for phytosanitary certification from the Ministry of Agriculture,” Malendza said.
