Standard & Poor's removes Mozambique from default category
Consumer price inflation in Mozambique continued to slow in September, according to the National Statistics Institute (INE), with 12-month rolling average inflation calculated at 4.59%, down from 5.04% in August.
Mozambique’s year-on-year inflation in September stood at 4.89%, after reaching 5.02% in August.
The INE also said that the month-on-month change on prices was 0.11%, with cumulative price rises since January amounting to 2.79%.
The detailed figures, published in the INE’s consumer price index bulletin, show that the transport sector was the largest contributor to inflation in September.Source: Lusa
