The Mozambican Petroleum Importer (Imopetro), the only entity authorised by the Mozambican government to import fuels, announced on Thursday that it will buy 28,000 tonnes of cooking gas (LPG) from Swiss firm Geogas Trading.
“This is an international tender launched in December, which had the participation of two companies, IPG, the supplier until the end of February, and Geogas,” Imopetro announced.
The procedure is part of the regular tenders for fuel supply to the country.
“The selection of the firm Geogas brings advantages for it having presented a better price, and also for being a supplier with a lot of experience and logistical presence in the region”, namely, in Tanzania, South Africa, Madagascar and Mauritius, it concludes.
