The institution foresees the return of Vuma “to the conviviality” of his associates “very soon”.
The CTA president was ambushed by two armed men at 3:00 p.m. on 11 July, in his office building on Avenida Josina Machel, near downtown Maputo.
The case is being investigated by the National Criminal Investigation Service (Sernic).
Agostinho Vuma, 44, was elected president of CTA in May 2017.
He is a founding member of the Association of Contractors of the City of Maputo, where he served as president, and was later involved in the genesis of the Mozambican Federation of Contractors (FME).
Vuma is a Mozambique Liberation Front (Frelimo) deputy in the Assembly of the Republic of Mozambique, and has since 2015 represented Gaza, in the south of the country.
