Chinese citizen murdered at his own shop in central Mozambique
The 'before' picture with the bus in the background
A passenger who was on board a bus that toppled over in Mozambique has shared a set “before and after” selfies from the tragic scene.
The 65-seater was believed to have been travelling from Quelimane to Beira when the accident happened.
According to local reports, three people were killed, including a mother and her two-year-old son.
The man can be seen standing in front of the bus smiling with a crowd of families and children about to board behind him.
The second image shows him standing in an identical pose but this time with his smile gone and his face covered in dust.
Behind him the overturned and crumpled bus can be seen with passengers milling about.
The accident is believed to have taken place on the Mucosa River near the village of Gorongosa in Mozambique.
According to local media, 37 people were injured and the catastrophe could have been caused by speeding.
However bus driver Amisse Mussa said it was down to a mechanical fault that made it impossible to control the vehicle as it went downhill.
Some passengers are also thought to have reported the driver for driving too fast and claim that he ignored repeated requests to slow down.
The Gorongosa administrator coincidentally passed the bus travelling in the opposite direction an hour before the accident and reported that it was traveling at high speed then, too.Source: Mirror UK
