Mozambique: World Bank disburses 250 million meticais to restore Matola roads
Within the scope of Covid-19 prevention measures, the city of Beira could benefit from a massive disinfection campaign, starting tomorrow, Tuesday (7). The first phase of the campaign is set to cover strategic points in the city.
Multiple disinfection and cleaning initiatives being undertaken at an individual level could now become a collective enterprise, Magazine CRV reports, after a group of interested citizens held their first meeting yesterday morning (April 5). The joint action involves Beira entrepreneurs and local civil society, and is sponsored by Beira Municipal Council.
The movement, which bears the name #SOScORONABeira, will start mobilising resources at another meeting, scheduled for today, Monday 6th.
Anyone wishing to get involved in the campaign should contact Beira businessman Abdul Karim on 84 384 7559.
