Fifty-three countries out of 54 African countries have confirmed their presence at the 1st China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo, which will be held in Changsha, capital of Hunan province, from 27-29 June, said deputy provincial governor He Baoxiang.
The exhibition, said the deputy governor quoted by the Xinhua news agency, will be attended by more than 1,500 foreign guests, about 5,000 Chinese and will have more than 3,500 exhibitors, buyers and professional visitors.
Launched under the China-Africa Cooperation Forum, this exhibition aims to establish a new mechanism for economic and trade cooperation between China and African countries.
China-Africa trade totalled US$204.2 billion in 2018, a year-on-year increase of 20%, with China being the main trading partner of the continent for 10 consecutive years.
The Portuguese-speaking African countries, such as Angola, Cabo Verde and Mozambique, will be present and there will also be a delegation from Forum Macau.Source: Macauhub
