The Mozambican Tax Authority (AT) expects to see revenues increase by 9.7% during 2019, its president Amelia Nakhare announced at a sector meeting, quoted today by the Mozambican Information Agency (AIM).
According to the 2019 Draft State Budget, the AT expects to raise about 244.6 billion meticais (3.5 billion Euros) next year. The rise is calculated based on the expected tax revenue collection for this year.
Nakhare said the AT anticipates collecting 222.8 billion meticais (3.2 billion Euros) in revenue in 2018. So far, tax revenue is in line with planned targets, she added, with January to August revenues corresponding to 100.45% of projections.
