Mota-Engil announced the award of two contracts in Africa totalling 520 million Euros yesterday, of which 445 million goes to Mozambique and 76 million to Angola.
In a statement issued by the Portuguese Securities and Exchange Commission (CMVM), the group explains that the contract awarded to Mota-Engil Africa in Mozambique is for mining services including drilling, explosives supply, cargo and transport of waste and coal in the mining project for coal extraction at Moatize, where the contract’s adjudicator, Vale, is a concessionaire.
The 76 million Euro Angolan contract is the result of an award made by the government of Luanda Province and covers the third renovation phase of the streets of Luanda, including repairing potholes and sidewalks, road signs and cleaning, among other services and supplies.
