After successive postponements to the completion of the Maputo-KaTembe Bridge, Minister of Public Works Housing and Water Resources João Machatine told O País on Thursday that the bridge will be ready by the end of October.
By then, the Maputo Ring Road and the KaTembe-Ponta do Ouro stretch would also be finalised, although the sites for toll stations have yet to be identified.
Without mentioning specific figures, Machatine said that toll rates for the bridge and approach roads would be socially viable, because the two infrastructure projects are Mozambican state investments.
