Mozambique: Government owes $2 bn in unpaid VAT rebates - Hanlon
The Minister of Labour, Employment and Social Security Vitória Dias Diogo will make a working visit to Cabo Delgado province from the 14th to 16th of this month, in order to verify the degree of compliance with the sector Economic and Social Plan.
On Thursday, Minister Diogo will direct a seminar on labour legislation focusing on mechanisms for hiring foreign workers, at a time when the province is expecting to receive more than 2,000 foreign workers as part of ongoing projects in the Rovuma basin.
This event will be preceded by the opening of the IFPELAC [Instituto de Formação Profissional e Estudos Laborais Alberto Cassimo ] Professional Training year.
On the 16th, the minister will inaugurate the INSS District Delegation building in the district of Montepuez.
Minister Diogo will also have a courtesy meeting with provincial governor Julio Parrque, conduct public hearings on labour-related matters and lead an extraordinary meeting of the sector provincial directorate.Source: A Verdade
