Mozambique: Changara cement plant to start production in February

Millennium bim has once again been honoured for its performance in the Mozambique banking sector, winning the Euromoney Awards for Excellence “Best Bank of Mozambique 2017” title.
The prizes are awarded by Euromoney financial magazine and, along with The Banker and the Global Finance awards, represent the three most important international awards in the sector. Millennium Bim had already been voted the best bank in Mozambique by Global Finance.
The Euromoney award is based on an analysis that takes into account performance and management indicators such as profitability, leadership, growth and innovation capacity. At the awards ceremony in London on 6 July, the jury highlighted the bank’s excellent performance, the robustness and soundness of its balance sheet, and its innovation in the creation of new products and services.
This international public recognition highlights work resulting from a customer-oriented strategy and reinforces the Bank’s commitment as an active agent in the economic and financial development of the country, providing the best products and services for all Mozambicans.
Euromoney magazine, founded in 1969, soon gained a prominent place among leading financial publications. It is currently read in more than 100 countries by leading decision makers in the international financial systems. Every month the magazine is read by more than 63,000 professionals in the financial sector and covers the main current issues in the banking sector, capital markets, investments and economic affairs in different countries and regions of the world.
Millennium bim is Mozambique’s largest financial group, and has marked the pace of growth of the banking sector. In the process of banking the Mozambican economy, the bank is present in all provinces of the country and today has a vast network of branches, one of the largest ATM and POS networks, and with 2,500 employees serving more than 1.6 million customers, Millennium bim is the first Mozambican bank in the ranking of the 100 largest banks in Africa, occupying 56th position.
