Mozambique: All vessels will be required to install tracking devices

During last week, the Mozambican currency maintained its recovery trend against the US dollar and the Euro, appreciating a few cents, according to the central bank’s average reference exchange rates followed by Lusa.
Last week, the Euro was bought in the country at 74.30 meticais, 38 metical cents less than the previous week.
The sale was made at 75.78 meticais per Euro, 35 metical cents lower.
The daily average purchase price of the Euro ranged between 74.02 and 74.56 meticais, while the asking price was between 75.49 and 76.04.
Against the US dollar, last week the metical was bought in the country 60.26 meticais, 53 metical cents less than last week.
The sale took place at 61.46 meticais per US Dollar, 52 metical cents less.
The daily average purchase price of the US dollar varied between 60.06 and 60.48 meticais, while the sale price ranged between 61.25 and 61.68 meticais.
The US dollar is is used as a basis for calculating the reference exchange rates for all other currencies in Mozambique. This was the fourth consecutive week that it became cheaper, having dropped 1.30 meticais since the middle of March.
