Police says detained activist claims to work for an NGO financed to destabilize Mozambique
Screen grab: STV
Lúcia Comiche made a phone call on Tuesday evening to STV live program ‘Linha Aberta’ [Open Line] identifying herself as one of two new confirmed cornavirus cases in Mozambique, announced today.
Lúcia Comiche can be heard saying: “[you] speak of an infected woman – and I want to say that it’s me [you are talking about]. I am Mozambican. [You say] she is in her 70s… I am 77 and my name is Lúcia Maria de Almeida Monteiro Comiche. There. All the rest is correct. I just think that you need to know that, in fact, I am the one infected. That is it. A very good evening.”
