Umbeluzi river submerges Zambanine bridge, restricting transitability in Boane

Nampula province has, since early on Friday, been experiencing rain accompanied by strong winds associated with Cyclone Gombe, especially in coastal districts.
Images from Monapo district received by Miramar show a scenario of destruction, with houses flattened and trees blown over.
Disaster management teams are on the ground monitoring the situation and are expected to update their information this morning.
In Nampula city, many neighbourhoods have been without electricity since last night, with winds still intensifying.
