The Judicial Court of the City of Maputo has decided to keep former Minister of Transport and Communications, Paulo Zucula in custody and release Emilliano Finocchi on bail. Both are suspects of having allegedly been involved in a corruption scheme linked to the construction of Nacala International Airport.
The Judicial Court of Maputo City on Thursday legalised the detention of the former Minister of Transport and Communications, who must await trial in cutody.
The Criminal Investigation Judge of the Maputo City Judicial Court ruled this morning that businessman Emilliano Finocchi, also accused of alleged involvement in the case, should be released after posting a 20 million meticais bail [around US$321,336 at current exchange rates].
