Mozambique elections: STAE lays out its deadlines

The presidents of Angola, João Lourenço, and Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel, have both congratulated Filipe Nyusi on his re-election as President of the Republic in Mozambique’s general and provincial elections on October 15, 2019.
In his congratulatory message, the Angolan president says he is confident that President Nyusi’s re-election is the expression of a set of positive factors resulting from his excellent performance as Supreme Magistrate of the Nation over the last five years, and deserving of the highly favourable appreciation of the Mozambican people evidenced by the significant results obtained in the elections.
“I believe that you will continue to put all your strengths and capacities into the consolidation of peace and national reconciliation policies that you have enacted with remarkable success already, and which will lead to the advancement, development and well-being of the Mozambican people,” the message from the Angolan statesman reads.
The message of the President of the Republic of Cuba reads: “On the occasion of his re-election to the post of President of the Republic of Mozambique, I address my most cordial congratulations and ratify the will to strengthen the historic relations of friendship and cooperation between our peoples and countries.”
