The Institute for the Management of State Holdings (IGEPE) has announced a press conference for this Wednesday to provide public clarification on the fate of the state Correios de Moçambique (Postal Services) company.
The clarification comes in the wake of information circulated last week by a certain civil society organisation regarding the evaluation of Correios de Moçambique real estate assets.

The IGEPE reiterates, in a note to which ‘Notícias’ has had access, that the process of the enterprise’s extinction and liquidation has been and will continue to be conducted with integrity, transparency, rigour and fairness, and that the evaluation process, in particular the report on the valuation of properties, will be available to the public as soon as the competent authorities approve it, at which time it can also be discussed with the institute.

The IGEPE welcomes the recommendations for the intervention of the General Inspectorate of Finance and the Administrative Tribunal in the process of identification and evaluation of properties, and their continuing participation in the liquidation process, as well as for the intervention of the Assembly of the Republic in the same process, mainly with regard to the identification and evaluation of the company’s properties.
