Two higher education institutions were banned from enrolling students this year because they showed deficiencies in their functioning. Last year a vocational-technical school was closed because it was unable to train students.
The provincial director of Science and Technology, Higher Education and Professional Technician, Leo Jamal, explained that the campaign started last year.
Jamal avoided announcing names, revealing only that two higher education institutions were interdicted to enroll students this year due to various irregularities.
Jamal explained that his institution is also attentive to professional technical schools.
At the level of the province of Nampula there are about 30 professional technical education institutions and 13 higher education institutions.
