Mozambique’s Ministry of Industry and Trade and Justice, Constitutional and Religious Affairs, has begun implementing a profound reform in the process of doing business.
“The reform introduced consists in transferring to the Maputo City Unified Service Desk (BAU) the constituent acts inherent to the reservation of name and registration of companies, once held in the Registry of Legal Entities (CREL), in order to be a single point for the accomplishment of acts inherent to the business start-up cycle,” a statement reads.
The reform aims at speeding up and facilitating the registration process of a legal entity and the consequent licensing for the immediate start of activity.
The communiqué clarifies that all other acts inherent in the business cycle of a company will henceforth be gradually implemented at a single access point.
