Increased water flow in the Namapa river has cut the road leading to the village of Namapa, in the Eráti district of Nampula.
The river overflowed as a result of rain in Nampula over the last three days three days, which has already submerged some social infrastructure.
Provincial authorities in Nampula are assessing the impact of the interruption of access to the village, with the administrator of the Eráti district attributing the floods in Namapa to the passage of the Cyclone Keneth in the Mozambique channel.
