More than 300 passengers in Maputo were unable to travel on Wednesday morning due to flight cancellations by Mozambique Airlines (LAM).
In a statement, LAM justified, that this situation occurred due to the financial limitations that the company has been subjected to in regards to fuel supply to its fleet.
The flag carrier says that, lately, the fuel supply of aircraft has been made on a pre-payment basis. However, after a one -off understanding with the fuel supplier, the aircrafts were refuelled and the flights started at 11:20 a.m. yesterday.
The LAM flights affected were supposed to have taken off to Beira and Nampula.
